Safety & trust

Travel connected. Meet responsibly.

TripCircle helps travelers discover people who may be interested in sharing activities and experiences. Every traveler is responsible for deciding who they meet, where they meet, and whether an interaction feels appropriate and safe.

Use good judgment before meeting anyone.

TripCircle can help create connections, but it cannot guarantee another person’s identity, intentions, conduct, background, or suitability. Review profiles carefully, communicate clearly, and never feel pressured to meet or continue an interaction.

Choose a public location

Meet for the first time in a busy, well-lit public place such as a café, museum, restaurant, hotel lobby, organized tour, or other established venue. Avoid private homes, isolated areas, or unfamiliar locations for an initial meeting.

Tell someone where you are going

Share your plans with a trusted friend or family member. Let them know who you are meeting, where you will be, when you expect to return, and how they can reach you.

Keep personal information private

Do not share passwords, financial information, verification codes, passport details, home addresses, hotel room numbers, or other sensitive information with people you have recently met.

Maintain control of your travel plans

Arrange your own transportation whenever possible. Keep your phone charged, know how you will leave, and avoid becoming dependent on another person for transportation, lodging, money, or access to important belongings.

Respect boundaries

Participation in any activity must be voluntary. Respect another person’s boundaries, decisions, personal space, and right to end an interaction at any time. A match or conversation never creates an obligation to meet.

Leave when something feels wrong

You may cancel or leave a meeting at any time. You do not need to justify prioritizing your safety. If a person behaves suspiciously, aggressively, dishonestly, or disrespectfully, remove yourself from the situation.

Stay aware and in control

Be cautious with alcohol or any substance that could impair your judgment. Keep drinks within your control, do not accept unknown substances, and never pressure another person to consume something.

Never send money to another user

Be cautious of requests involving money, gift cards, transfers, investments, travel emergencies, booking fees, or financial assistance. TripCircle should not be used to solicit money, promote financial opportunities, or conduct suspicious transactions.

Community expectations

Help create a respectful community.

Everyone using TripCircle is expected to communicate honestly, respect others, and follow applicable laws.

Be authentic

Provide accurate profile information and represent your identity, intentions, and travel plans honestly. Do not impersonate another person or create misleading profiles.

Be respectful

Harassment, threats, discrimination, intimidation, unwanted sexual behavior, exploitation, and abusive communication are not acceptable.

Report concerns

Block or report users who appear unsafe, dishonest, abusive, fraudulent, or in violation of TripCircle’s rules. Reports help protect the wider community.

Terms and responsibilities

Your decisions remain your responsibility.

TripCircle is a platform for discovering and communicating with other travelers. TripCircle does not organize, supervise, approve, or control meetings between users.

You are responsible for your conduct.
